Golf Tournaments

Golf Tournaments

There are many different facets to a golf tournament that many of the participants do not realize must go on in order to have a successful event. Here is some information on a few different golf event topics. If you have any questions feel free to contact Wireless Golf Coach.

Tee Gifts – Participants in a corporate golf outing or a country club tournament such as a Member –Member or Member-Guest want to take away a memento from the event. This is true whether they won their flight or not. A tee gift or tee gifts can give every single player in your field a keepsake to take with them of their day or weekend. The proper type of gift to give will be based on things such as the type of event (is it a charity event or a corporate event) as well as the allotted budget for the tee gifts. The gifts for a corporate event are typically more extravagant as they corporation is trying to “woo” customers or suppliers that are playing in the event.

Tournament Shirts – Golf tournament shirts come in the form of polo shirts, mock shirts, performance shirts and button down shirts. They are stylish, come in short or long sleeves, can be worn by men or women. Giving away tournament shirts will take your golf event to another level and give the participants something to remember the event. In addition, when they wear it after the tournament, they will be advertising for next year’s event. Having a great time on the golf course as well as receiving their tournament shirt will insure that they will become a sales person/recruiter for your next event!

Tournament Hats – One of the benefits of a golf tournament hat is the fact that they can be easily outfitted with logos for easy promotion. This is where you can get very creative. You can have your own logo embroidered onto the hat and wear it yourself, distribute hats to your employees, make them a part of your employee’s uniforms, hand them out to customers and vendors, or you can use them as prizes. No matter how you do it, exposing your logo to the public can be profitable in that you are giving your business exposure that it would not have otherwise.

Golf Tournament Planning – There are many aspects to golf tournament planning. Many players show up and play and never realize all of the planning and organization that has gone into making the day enjoyable. Depending on the type of tournament you are running, you will need a calendar of events leading up to the event, create a tournament check list, an agenda for duties the day of the event, select tournament committees, create a tournament budget, buy tournament tee gifts as well as select and buy tournament prizes.

Can You Benefit From iPhone Golf Lessons?

Wireless Golf Coach is often asked if iPhone golf lessons are good to take. Of course, that is a loaded question for us. As with any type of instruction, you will need to find a qualified golf instructor. Once you feel that you are getting good information from one source you should be off to the races. Unfortunately, many players try to use every quick tip or instruction that they hear. Guess what…it is not all good for you! You need to have personalized online golf lessons in order to make it work.

Who is an iPhone golf lesson good for?
The great part about learning golf on your iPhone is that it is on your terms. You can read articles, watch videos or watch a golf webinar. The format of the webinar will change from instructor to instructor. However, most of the time you can be as anonymous as you want to be. Many times you will be typing your question and the instructor will read and answer it on camera. If you are a social butterfly, you will be able to meet other golfers and sta…

Are You Taking Putting Lessons?

For some reason students seem reluctant to take putting lessons. I do not quite understand this as improving your putting is the fastest way to lower your scores.

I think that students do not want to take putting lessons for a couple of reasons…
Doing work on the range trying to hit the ball far and straight feels and sounds sexier and more fun than improving your putting with a putting drill. Many players like to compare themselves by how far they can hit not only the driver but also their irons. I always preferred to have the lowest score at the end of the round and collect my winnings. I figured that was impressive enough!People in general do not like to do things that they are not good at. I am guilty of this myself with my putting. Why go and get frustrated on the practice putting green when I can go to the driving range to hit good shots that I know that I can hit? Many times ego gets in the way.Another reason is one that actually does not fall on the student but the instructor.…

Online Putting Lesson

More and more golfers are looking to find the secret to their game by searching out online putting lessons. It seems natural as the world is becoming more and more mobile every single day. Especially in an urban setting, it is difficult to find somebody without an internet connection right on their mobile phone. They literally have the internet at their fingertips!
So…what do you need to know to find the best online putting lessons to help you lower your scores? Here are the various formats that you can find online putting tips…

Article – Of course, there is the standard article. Depending on your learning style, this may be the best format for you. Typically, the article will describe the tip, drill or lesson in detail and be accompanied by pictures to help you gain a clear understanding. You can find golf articles in many traditional golf magazines, sports magazines or you can simply search for them on Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. You would simply type in a search term related to your cu…

Putting Drills - Are They All Good?

Many golfers want putting drills to help them improve their stroke and get the ball in the hole faster. Many golfers will hear that a friend used a golf putting drill that helped them and make the mistake that the same drill will help them too. Here are a few reasons why it does not work that way and what you should be looking for to find the best putting drills to improve your game.

Learning Styles
There are three major learning styles auditory, feel and visual. Auditory would be that the way that you best consume information is hearing it. For example, an instructor can simply tell you to do something different, you hear it and you can do it. Learning through feel you have to be able to feel the new movement before you can begin to learn it. Most golfers are visual and like to be shown something and then try to repeat it. One is not better than another, it is simply that we are build or wired differently. The putting lesson your friend may have received was for a visual learner. How…

Junior Golf Lessons

It does not a rocket scientist to figure out the future of golf lies within growing junior golf. Depending on the age of your child and goals of your child, junior golf lessons can take many forms. Here is a short list of the options that are out there for your child to learn and enjoy the game of golf.

Private Junior Golf Lesson
This is the traditional way to learn the game. A professional takes your child and teaches them one on one the fundamentals of the game. Although the child, if interested, can learn very quickly in the format, it is the most expensive way to learn how to play the game.

Junior Golf Camp
Many kids are introduced to the game through a summer junior camp. Depending on the size of the camp, the kids are broken up in to groups typically by age although some camps divide students via skill level. It seems that students have to choose which sport they are going to play at a younger and younger age. With this being said, many camps are full of younger children so you wi…
