Online Golf Drills

At one time or another, we all have had a break down in our golf swing mechanics and have gone looking for the answer in online golf drills. Let’s face it; we were looking for anything that might change the results that we were already producing!

Although there is a lot of great internet golf drills and golf instruction to be found online, you really have to be careful as you look around. Why is that, you ask? We all know that literally anybody can post on the internet and people believe it is true... Bonjour!

No matter if you are looking for online putting drills, online full swing drills or online short game lessons; you will want to do some research on the person delivering the information. You will want to ask questions such as…Is this a PGA of America golf instructor?

Are they certified by the PGA of America in golf instruction? How much experience do they have as a golf instructor? So let’s take a minute to help you understand why it is a good idea to get these questions for answered for yourself before you start implementing all the online golf drills that you can find on the internet!

Is this a PGA of America golf instructor? Finding an instructor that is a member of the PGA of America is important because of the training and education that these individuals go through to become a member of the association. In order to become a member of the PGA of America, one must pass multiple tests on Intro of golf instruction, Intermediate golf instruction and Advanced golf instruction.

Are they certified by the PGA of America in golf instruction? Once you become a member of the PGA of America, you can then further your education by becoming certified within special areas. One of these areas is golf instruction. In order to become certified, a member must write a paper as well as test out of the subject matter. The highest level would be to find a Master professional. A Master professional has been a member for at least eight years, completed a project that can take one – two years to complete and defend their project in front of a panel of other Master Professionals.

How much experience do they have as a golf instructor? This may seem obvious; however, the roles of many golf professionals have changed over the last decade. Many professionals carry many more responsibilities than just the instructional program at the facility. The other question to ask is how much or often are they teaching now? You would want to go to a doctor that regularly saw an adequate amount of patients. I know that I would anyway!

So the next time you are looking for that online golf swing fix, you will be able to answer many of these questions and find online golf drills to help you improve your game. It will only take you doing a quick online search and you will be having all kinds of fun on the golf course as you watch your scores drop!

3 Putting Drills To Improve Your Putting

I want to improve my putting. I want some putting drills to help me improve my short putts as well as my lag putts. My trouble is a get bored fairly easy on the putting green so any putting drills that can be incorporated into games with my buddies would be great. Here are some of the best putting drills that we often use to help our students improve their putting:

Lag Drill
When it comes to putting for distance, we all tend to miss longer putts more short and long as opposed to right and left. This is one of my favorite putting drills. Place a tee anywhere where the putting green and fringe meet. Begin by hitting putts from varying distances from 10 to 50 feet towards the tee. The goal is to stop your golf ball as close to the fringe as possible. Challenge a friend or challenge yourself by continuing the putting drill until you can stop so many balls in side of a certain distance. This will be determined by your current skill level.

Pull Back Drill
The pull back drill is one of the g…

Who is an iPhone golf lesson good for?
The great part about learning golf on your iPhone is that it is on your terms. You can read articles, watch videos or watch a golf webinar. The format of the webinar will change from instructor to instructor. However, most of the time you can be as anonymous as you want to be. Member Question - How To Control Putting Speed

Member Question: I have a hard time with hitting two putts in a row the same speed. Even on the practice green, my putting speed is horrible. I can try to hit a ball about 15 feet and try to hit a second ball to barely touch it. The second ball rarely comes close to being close to the first ball. Sometimes it is long and sometimes it is short. The result is just not consistent. Any putting tips to help me with my putting speed?

Thank you for your question. When students are that inconsistent with speed of putts or distance control, it is typically because they are not hitting the putts solid.

Now, what does that mean in English? In hitting any shot solid it means that you hit the club-face in the same spot on every stroke. If you need to know how to find the sweet spot on your putter, it is easy to do. Simply let take your putter by the grip and let it dangle using only your forefinger and thumb. Next take a golf ball and start tapping the putter face. Once the club head goes straigh…

Having played other sports will help you learn the game. Here are different avenues that you can take listed in what will more than likely be the quickest way to learn for you:

Private Golf Lessons
Depending on your financial situation, you may want to take private beginners golf lessons. Typically, you can take just one or you can take a series. There is usually a price break for the series. Again, you will want to do your homework and find a qualified golf instructor and that they are priced reasonably for their qualifications.

Beginner Golf Clinic
A great cost-effective way to learn how to play go…

No matter whether you are a beginner or have been playing the game for years, there is a variety of ladies golf lessons that will help you understand the game, get to meet and socialize with others and have more fun while you play! Here is a short list of various formats that you may like to take ladies golf instruction:

Private Ladies Golf Lesson – This is what most people think of when they think of a golf lesson. Yes you have the professional to yourself but many can see that as an intimidating situation and one on one time with a qualified golf instructor is not always cheap.

Ladies Golf Classes – This is a popular way to take instruction especially for the beginners looking to learn the basics or fundamentals. As a student, you will want the instructor to student ratio to be at or below 6 to 1. Any more than that and the instructor will have a difficult time giving you any individual time at all.
